I weighed in at 148 this morning and instead of freaking, I am going hard in the gym.

Weekend Blues

I did not exercise at all this weekend, save for the 50 situps that I did. Since I wasn't able to get to the gym, I watched what I ate and am pretty certain I stayed near 1200 calories. I ate healthy the entire weekend and drank plenty of water. I am so ready to see results and get in that gym today!

Weight Loss and Fitness Challenge


I started on a journey to wellbeing in August 2011 and I have been very successful at meeting my goals. I have worked out consistently and lost over 12lbs to date. When I first started on this journey my weight had topped 158. That is the heaviest I have ever been and with my buildup and frame, that weight was not being deposited in the right place. People looked at me as if I was crazy when I said I'd picked up weight, but at this point it is about personal comfortability and having my body be at optimal potential. I want to feel good first and foremost and look, and feel good about myself. So, I've been sticking to being physically active; most days I run two miles a day and combine that with weights alternating days for upper and lower body. I have learned you can't spot train; it's an overall transformation. I can see muscles now that I hadn't seen in a long time,and I know with consistent cardio as well as lifting, I should have a pretty toned body in forty four days which will be my 37th birthday!!!! I wanting to continue making strides as it relates to my health and fitness goals so go on this journey with me. I did go on a cruise where I splurged and did not work out so at this point I am working on getting back where I was pre-cruise--- I only gained three pounds, but still... I wanted to come back grinding in the gym!
So I've ran six miles in three days and lifted three days, upper, lower and uppper.
